Jean-Louis Bories
President & CEO

A 26 year veteran in the semiconductor industry, Jean-Louis has a strong international business background and a proven history of creating and growing new businesses. Prior to joining Xceive, Jean-Louis was with National Semiconductor Corporation in a variety of roles including: Senior Vice President & General Manager, Wireless & Displays Group; Executive Vice President, Information Appliance and Wireless Group; and Senior Vice President, Core Technology Group. He has also held executive positions at LSI-Logic Corporation and Thomson CSF. Jean-Louis holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Alain-Serge Porret Ph.D.
Vice President Engineering

Alain is Vice President of Engineering and co-founder of Xceive. Before co-founding Xceive, he was with a start-up company and was the principal engineer in charge of the system-level analysis of their VHF/UHF tuner chips. Prior to that, he was with the Electronics Laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, and developed, in collaboration with CSEM, Logitech and Siemens, a first generation of ultra low-power UHF transceivers capable of operating during years on a single battery. He also co-founded a company developing data mining software. He received his BSEE from the HES-SO (University of Applied Science - Western Switzerland) and his MSEE and Ph.D. degrees from EPFL working on low-power RF circuits and RF device modeling. Dr. Porret is author or co-author of more than 20 scientific papers published in IEEE journals and conferences and of several US patents.

Marcus Tai
Vice President Operations

Marcus's 20+ years semiconductor industry experience included the micro controller and high volume interface logic divisions at Fairchild Semiconductor, the VLSI Products division at VLSI Technology, high volume DRAMs at Alliance Semiconductor and Silicon Access Networks where he productized a full custom 25W, 1,376 pads Quad Network Processor family in 2003. Most recently he worked on the most cost effective, feature rich GEPON ONU in the FTTH industry. Mr Tai ran 20 million cost sensitive Interface Logic parts a month at Fairchild and 5 million DRAM parts a month (5K wafers) at Alliance Semiconductor. Mr. Tai held Operations responsibility for the Consumer Products, Wireless, Network and Work Station Divisions at VLSI Technology with total revenue of $300M. He graduated with a BSEE (Honors) from Aston University in the UK and holds two patents.

Brian Burns
Vice President Worldwide Sales

As Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Brian Burns is responsible for establishing sales teams and channels in the Asia Pacific market, implementing joint ventures and partnerships and identifying new market opportunities for Xceive.

An industry veteran with 25 years of experience in sales development, strategic planning and business development in the Asian markets, Brian has extensive experience in building sales organizations and strategic relationships in the TV and consumer electronics industry.

Prior to his work at Xceive, Brian held the position of Vice President Asia Pacific at ViXS Systems, where he leveraged his extensive TV semiconductor sales and strategy experience to capture new business in multimedia and wireless product companies. His experience also includes senior executive roles involving business development, channel implementation, strategic consulting and operations management for a number of established companies including Apple Computer, Asia Pacific Ventures, CyberSource Corporation, Microsoft and Linotype Corporation.

Brian received his MBA, with Honors, from the Haas School of Business and was also an Inter-Pacific Scholar. Brian also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Oriental Languages from the University of California, Berkeley, and attended Keio University in Japan.

Neil Mitchell
Vice President Marketing

Neil brings over 20 years of business and marketing management experience in the digital-TV and semiconductor industries to Xceive. Most recently at Genesis Microchip, Neil held the position of vice president of TV marketing, leading the company's strategy in DTV as well as all product marketing activities for related IC, software and platform products. Prior to that, Mitchell worked as the senior director of marketing for Zoran Corporation/Oak Technology/TeraLogic, where he was responsible for all aspects of worldwide IC marketing and product requirement definition. Neil has also served as international product marketing manager for Philips Semiconductors and held several senior managerial positions in business development, marketing and engineering at ST Microelectronics/Inmos Corporation in the U.S. and the U.K. Neil graduated with honors from Staffordshire University, England, with a degree in computer science.

Michael Seifert
Chief Financial Officer

Michael E. Seifert brings over 25 years of financial experience to Xceive. Mr. Seifert has served as Xceive Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since September 2006 and interim CFO since February 2006. Before Xceive, Mr. Seifert was CFO at Virage Logic (NASD: VIRL) and earlier at Southwall Technologies Inc.'s (NASD: SWTX). Prior to joining Southwall, Mr. Seifert was CFO of Sitesmith, Inc. and was instrumental in its sale to Metromedia Fiber Networks for $1.4 Billion in October 2000. Mr. Seifert held other senior financial management positions in the high-technology industry, including CFO of SmartDB Corporation, CFO of Wayfarer Communications (sold to Vantive, now Oracle, NASD: ORCL), Vice-president of Finance at Compression Labs, Inc., (sold to VTEL Corporation, NASD: FORG) and corporate controller at PMC-Sierra (NASD: PMCS). Mr. Seifert also spent 10 years at Ernst & Young, where he became a senior manager and principal in the firm's San Jose, California office. Since 1991, he has led private and public equity, debt and merger transactions totaling approximately $1.6 billion. Mr. Seifert is a magna cum laude graduate of Santa Clara University with a B.S. degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Seifert also serves on the boards of directors of Applied Wave Research and Wait-on-Me.
