CJ Koomen, Chairman
In 2000, Koomen co-founded the company Securealink, which was acquired by SafeNet in 2002. Since then, he has been an entrepreneur, advisor, board member, chairman and interim CEO for many start-up initiatives and is also a member of the Band of Angels. Before founding Securealink, Koomen held several high-level positions at large, multinational corporations such as President and CEO of the Philips Digital Video Group, President of Philips Semiconductors North America, Executive Vice President of Philips Semiconductors, and President of the Communications ’ Multimedia Business Group. Koomen has also been employed as a systems engineer at Philips Telecommunications Systems, a CAD and software manager at Philips Corporate Product Development, General Manager of an IC Design group at Philips Research, and CTO at Philips Communications Systems. He started his career as a radio frequency engineer at RVO/TNO in The Hague and was also a research engineer at Philips Research in Eindhoven in the areas of telecommunications and computer science. Koomen holds an MS and holds an award winning PhD from Delft University in The Netherlands. He was also a part time professor at Eindhoven University of Technology.


Jean-Louis Bories, President and CEO
A 26 year veteran in the semiconductor industry, Jean-Louis has a strong international business background and a proven history of creating and growing new businesses. Prior to joining Xceive, Jean-Louis was with National Semiconductor Corporation in a variety of roles including: Senior Vice President ’ General Manager, Wireless ’ Displays Group; Executive Vice President, Information Appliance and Wireless Group; and Senior Vice President, Core Technology Group. He has also held executive positions at LSI-Logic Corporation and Thomson CSF. Jean-Louis holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.


Jim Jones
Jim Jones is a Managing Director of Scale Venture Partners and his investment focus is in semiconductor and MEMS components as well as enterprise systems. Jim joined Scale Venture Partners in 2000 and currently sits on the boards of Auvitek, Entone, Enuclia, MaXXan, NComputing, and Xceive. Jim was also responsible for Scale Venture Partners' investment in Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ: MPWR).

Prior to Scale Venture Partners, Jim led product management, product marketing, and business development groups at 3Com Corporation, where he managed a diverse $1.2 billion product line. He also spearheaded the company's entry into and market leadership of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet solutions as well as its foray into the home networking market. Prior to 3Com, Jim worked in integrated circuit development and marketing with National Semiconductor, focusing on analog, ATM, FDDI, and Ethernet controller and transceiver solutions.

Jim holds a BSEE from the University of California, Davis.


C.N. Reddy
C.N. Reddy is currently the executive vice president of investments at Alliance Semiconductor. As the executive vice president and a member of the Investments group, Reddy is managing a $240M venture fund. He is one of two members who managed $215M of corporate investments that have yielded an excess of $1B in returns for the company. Reddy was co-founder of Alliance and has held various positions such as chief operating officer, vice president of engineering, secretary, and a director since Alliance's inception. He was a member of the founding management team at Cypress Semiconductor and Modular Semiconductor, Inc., responsible for SRAM product line manager and SRAM/DRAM product line respectively; DRAM development manager for Texas Instruments, Inc., and design engineer with National Semiconductor Corporation. He currently serves on various private company boards including Cavium Networks, Aperto Networks and Sinett. Reddy holds an MSEE from Utah State University and is named as an inventor on more than 50 patents in the area SRAM/DRAM designs and Semiconductor systems.


Randall Meals
Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Randy had a broad and significant career as an executive, which includes serving as COO and VP of Business Development for Nishan Systems (acquired by McData), and GM and VP of 3Com's Advanced Products and Storage Networking Divisions. As COO of Omnipoint Corporation (now T-Mobile via merger) he was a member of the team of executives that took this company through its successful IPO. Additionally, Randy was GM of Hewlett Packard's Information Networks Division and the Business Unit Manager of NCR/AT’T's Open Networking Business Unit. He has received numerous awards including NCR's Chief Scientist Award for conceiving innovative technology for implementation of disk arrays.

Randy has an MBA from Wichita State, MS in Computer Science from Kansas State, and a BS in Computer Science from Iowa State. He is also an alumnus of the U.S. Naval Academy. He currently serves on the boards of Aristos Logic and Xceive, served on the board of Sierra Logic (acquired by Emulex), and is also responsible for managing QTV's investments in Aperto, Bay Networks, Cavium, and Minerva.
